2
Sturdy Stems: Many dahlias have sturdy stems, which are ideal for cut flower use and can support heavy blooms.
3
Early Blooming: Some dahlias can be coaxed into early blooming by overwintering, planting early, or pre-sprouting and potting up indoors.
4
Pest Susceptibility: Early blooming dahlias are more susceptible to pests like thrips and Japanese beetles, which can affect their appearance and vase life.
5
Vase Life: Dahlias typically have a short vase life of 3-5 days, making them suitable for events rather than long-lasting bouquets.
6
Easy to Grow: Dahlias are generally easy to grow and can thrive in well-drained soil with proper care.
CONS
1
Pest Problems: Early blooming dahlias are more prone to pest issues, which can reduce their quality and vase life.
2
Vase Life Shortage: The short vase life of dahlias means they are best used for events rather than long-lasting arrangements.
